Bipasha Basu is the brand ambassador of fitness in Bollywood. She was the face of Reebok and has her own brand of fitness videos and attire called 'Love Yourself by Bipasha Basu'. She is known for her fitness routine that has resulted in her perfect figure. She is launching yet another fitness DVD and has worked really hard for it. She gives some of her tips:
1) Take the stairs up instead of the elevator but do not climb down because it puts stress on the knee joints. It is fun and sweat is worth.
2) Even shopping can be a form of exercise and a fun way to walk. Wear sneakers or comfortable flat footwear and comfortable clothing and walk around with heavy bags.
3) Try and eat healthy food instead of junk food while you are out shopping. Its double joy: shopping and walking. Look around and take in the beauty of the place. It can be quite an adventure.
4) Do not indulge in unhealthy snacking as that ruins your fitness level. Stay away from fried food,junk food and processed foods. Choose healthy, more filling and nutritious options such as nuts,cereals,natural food and whole grains.
5) Do not skip breakfast as it affects your mood and eating habits throughout the day. Eat a healthy and well balanced breakfast and eat slowly. Pay attention to your food while eating and cut out distractions such as magazines and television.
6) Get some form of exercise everyday for 45 to 90 minutes. Go for a walk, take your dog out for a walk, go for a jog, play football or basketball with your friends, go to the beach for a run, go to the gym, do yoga or dance. Do what makes you feel good, motivated and energetic. The effort is worth it.
